I keep hearing all of this about Windows7 and how great it is. They keep showing screen shots of the betas. I don't want to see screen shots. I want a better windows. It can look EXACTLY the same, I just want it BETTER.

1-no crashes / no freezing of the OS or programs
2-no breaking or getting slower over time
3-faster
4-consistency

If it only did those things, it would be my dream OS. Now, XP is pretty good. But, it could be better. Many many normal users would have so much better of an experience if 1, 2, and 4 were true. I want all 4 though. No eye candy, just my 4 items.

Make a will.
Pay off your credit cards.
Get term life insurance if you have a family to support.
Fund your 401k to the maximum.
Fund your IRA to the maximum.
Buy a house if you want to live in a house and can afford it.
Put six months worth of expenses in a money-market account.
Take whatever money is left over and invest 70% in a stock index fund and 30% in a bond fund through any discount broker and never touch it until retirement.
If any of this confuses you, or you have something special going on (retirement, college planning, tax issues), hire a fee-based financial planner, not one who charges a percentage of your portfolio.

Loss and Hope

Well, you know how they tell you not to tell people about your pregnancy until at least until the end of the first trimester?

Jennifer and I are such happy people and the whole thing has been such a big ordeal, we couldn't hold back. So, we told all of you and today we learned that we only have 1 left. Just last week we had 3 embryos and 3 heart beats and this week we had only 1.

Obviously not the same as other loses we experience, but loss none the less.

Heres to the one survivor!

Triplet Restrictions

One Mom's 20 week restrictions:
No more grocery shopping. This is not allowed because of the amount of walking it takes.

Limited walking.

Limited stair use. Allowed one time down and one time up in a day.

Limited amount of time standing. I try to sit or lay down as much as possible.

No more water aerobics.

Lots of rest. Most of the time I try to sit or lay on the couch.

I now have asthma. It is hard to breath even with the inhaler. So, I am going to call the Dr. again tomorrow. This sucks.

I now own a gun. Can you imagine it? Me? Well, start.

It is a very pretty shotgun by browning. It is the Gold Fusion 20 ga with 28 inch barrel. It will be so fun go shooting with my brother.

I wonder how many people, percent wise, listen to NPR and own a gun.

Church Ice Cream Social

Tonight Jennifer and I went to a church icecream social. It was very nice. One of the benifits of going to church here in Green Bay vs. driving all of the way to Appleton is that something on a Sunday evening is not a big treck. It was very easy to drive to the other side of town. We got to know some people from the fellowship better, which was very nice.
